Hakkasan night club 2014

Description:
Hakkasan, the Cantonese-themed restaurant chain that took off from its original, Christian Liaigre-designed London location and has swept Mumbai, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Miami and New York City, landed in Las Vegas in May. The chain, known for its modern Chinoiserie-inspired dining areas and pricey dishes, opened a 75,000-square-foot location – its largest ever – in MGM Grand. And while other Hakkasan restaurants the world over get clubbier as the night wears on, the Vegas location combines the restaurant with a separate, five-floor nightclub. DJs Steve Aoki and Calvin Harris have signed on for residencies.
Club kids crowd the MGM Grand's five-level, 80,000-square-foot restaurant, lounge and club conversion. Expect Michelin-quality dim sum, wok dishes, cod with Champagne and Chinese honey, as well as an Asian-themed garden area and elevated spot for VIPs. Hakkasan, also in cities including London and New York, has jet-set fans. This is the largest incarnation of the Asian-themed eatery and night spot, with A-list DJ Steve Aoki signed for a residency. He's famed for antics including riding on an inflatable raft born by revelers and throwing cake at the faces of delighted fans.
